My Story

I began my spiritual journey early in life. Experiencing the death of my mother at the age of eight, followed by a childhood marked by abuse, I was propelled into the darkest night of my soul as a child. Finding my way back to the light was a journey of deep inner strength and spiritual wisdom earned by a childlike faith guided by the grace of God.

At the age of 12, I began practicing yoga and continued my practice into adulthood, becoming a certified yoga teacher. I am trained and certified in yoga, breath work, meditation, energy healing, sound healing, vocal yoga and aromatherapy. Through my own healing journey of over a decade of therapy, I have gained understanding in proven psycho-spiritual models including Internal Family Systems (parts work) and Inner Bonding (inner child work). My offerings draw on this vast well of both formal education and experiential wisdom and are tailored to my clients' individual needs.

As an intuitive, I have an innate understanding of the human psyche. In my coaching, I guide you to identify unconscious belief systems, create new thought patterns, and reprogram your subconscious mind to transform your life.

Johena is a phonetic version of my Korean name "조현화" (Hyun-wha) meaning "wise flower." Wha is the sound of ecstasy. By invoking the sounds of my eastern lineage with the knowledge of my western upbringing, I honor my shamanic ancestors in serving my global community.
